USB on during sleep and wake

hi there,
i'm quite happy with my minix box, but there are two "little" things that prevent me from being completely satisfied.
the first one, is that i would like to put the minix box in a place where it can be reached by a bluetooth remote but not by an irda one... and given that the box cuts power to usb ports i have to get up and use the button... (and i also have an x7 wich works perfectly, so i can't rest my head until i find a solution). any workaround that you know of? can't be choosen...
